Tech IPOs Are Still Limping Along


The market for tech IPOs is still hurting. Business has picked up considerably since the trough of 2003. But the stock market is relatively flat, and the costs associated with being a publicly held company have soared because of new regulatory requirements. That has discouraged managers of small companies from going public. The preferred exit is now M&A.
