TiVo Cedes Top Spot, but Still Dominates

In March 2005, TiVo gave up the No. 1 digital video recorder position to RCA, thanks to RCA's partnership with satellite television company DirectTV. But it still outpaced competitors with six of the 10 most popular units, and nearly half of all units sold. Replay Networks still has two of the top 10 devices, but they made up less than 1% of all units sold.
