Tell the world which sites you crave

It's that time of year again. BusinessWeek is compiling its annual list of what's best on the Web. Here's your chance to highlight the most indispensable sites for getting informed, making money, having fun, or forging your own online tools. We're also soliciting votes for a new feature: The 25 Most Influential People on the Web.

To vote for a favorite site, click on a category at right. Each contains a handful of suggestions. But by all means write in your own; many sites fit in more than one category. We've included most of last year's groupings, as well as some new ones, including Mashups, Widgets, and Virtual Worlds.

As for Most Influential, write in the name of the person you believe holds the most sway on the direction of the Web. If you have more than one person in mind, then vote again. We'll consider your votes, along with input from the BusinessWeek editorial staff, to determine the top 25. Then, we'll share the results in a report in late September. Please vote soon.
