When my family was running nothing but WinTel PCs, I spent a big chunk of my time acting as system administrator. I had to make sure their systems all had up-to-date anti-virus software installed, whenever we bought a new device such as a printer, I had to spend hours getting all the appropriate drivers installed on the various machines, and configuring the systems to print wirelessly. Countless system crashes had to be diagnosed and recovered from. "Dad, who is General Protection and why is he at fault?" And backups...what a nightmare! I'll bet I had to completely wipe and re-install Windows on one of our machines at least once a month. What a time-sink. About five years ago, my oldest son wanted an iBook for Christmas. Once I saw how that machine worked, how easy it was to configure and manage, and how little time I spent working on it, I was sold. Now our home is all Macs, and I have never for a second regretted it, or looked back. Never had a virus or other malware problem, new devices on the network are automatically discovered with Bonjour. And they're configured with a couple of mouse clicks. I have NEVER installed a driver for any new hardware I have purchased. Our backups are now fully automated with Time Machine and Time Capsule. I could not be happier to get back so many hours of my life!

Formal DUI charges have been filed against Mike Martin, Burien City Manager when his car struck a planter at 14th Avenue South. The incident happened around 11pm of April 19. According to reports, one King County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a call and arrested Martin on DUI suspicion.

When he arrived at the scene, the officer said that Martin and the owner of the home (whose planter had been struck) were talking on the roadside. The homeowner told the officers that Martin was really drunk. At the same time, the officer also described Martin as having bloodshot eyes and smelling of alcohol.

According to the police report, Martin said he consumed only two beers, but later changed it to two glasses of wine. He also refused the breathalyzer and field sobriety test. On the way to Burien precinct, the officer quoted Martin saying “This was stupid; many people will be disappointed in me.”

Lucy Krakowiak, Burien Councilwoman, called for Martin’s resignation in a letter to Times/News. On the other hand, Jack Block Jr., former Councilman, stood by Martin and spoke in his support during the May 4 council meeting.

Since the city attorney of Burien reports to Martin, the council members hired an outside attorney who will advise them regarding this situation. Their lawmakers also conducted a few executive sessions in order to discuss the matter.

The arraignment date is scheduled on May 15.

you mentioned that the Mac required more use of mouse than a PC, this may be the default situation, but with apple's "Full Keyboard Access" you can access 100% of things using only the keyboard.
to turn on Turn Full Keyboard Access just press Control + F1.
how you can tab through all of the windows contents, not only text box's (the default situation).i would have to say the mac has better keyboard access then pc's, to the point that you can customize these things.. where as a pc is stuck with the default.
