Valleywag: New iPhone June 12

Posted by: Arik Hesseldahl on May 06

Valleywag, citing a source, has pegged the release date of the next iPhone as June 12. It rates the quality of it source as an “8 out of 10.” New features? Better speakers, better camera, and 3G. Or they could just be making it up based on the same informed conjecture that anyone who knows anything about Apple has been kicking around the rumor mill for weeks. Meanwhile, The Boy Genius Report says employees at AT&T stores are being told they can’t take vacations between June 15 and July 12.

I recently had a meeting with my corp AT&T rep and he said that the new iPhone will also have GPS built into it along side the current triangulation feature. It will also be 3G, but that is all they officially knew about the new version.
