True Story

Posted by: Arik Hesseldahl on November 13, 2007

An old friend came to visit today. I’m not going to give his or her name, but this person used to work at Microsoft, and was somewhat senior. Before leaving, however, he/she decided to take advantage of a discount that Microsoft employees get at the Apple Store. With only a few weeks to go before quitting, this person loaded up on Apple hardware, a Mac, an iPod, the works, and is now a very happy Mac user. As he/she told me this, I couldn’t restrain myself from slapping a high-five.

This begs the question do Apple employees get a discount at the MicroSoft Store? I don't think that MicroSoft has a physical store, maybe on their campus, but perhaps they have a secret online store.

No, but they have an amnesty bin. :)
