Steve Meets Bill Today

Posted by: Arik Hesseldahl on May 30, 2007

Steve Jobs and Bill Gates will be conducting of a grand summit at the D conference in Carlsbad, Calif. today. Should be fun. I sure hope a video of their conversation makes the rounds.

Thinking about that I happened upon this old clip from the 1997 MacWorld Expo in Boston, the one where Jobs announced the big Microsoft partnership that helped save Apple. The funny think I notice about this, concerns how Bill pronounces “Macintosh,” in a way that sounds like “MUK-n-tosh.” I wonder if he’ll do any better with his elocution today?

I was wondering this earlier and seeing this makes me wonder more. Does Microsoft still own any Apple stock? Its a few years past the "mandatory" holding time...
