And Speaking Of Security

Who says Apple isn’t responsive when it gets reports of security issues within Mac OS X? The latest security update just came out and it fixes and interesting issue concerning the iSight camera. Apparently there was a way, using Quicktime, Java, and to use it as a remote spy camera. Here’s harmless demonstration that requires that you use the Safari browser. According to MacSlash, Apple was notified about the problem on Dec. 1, received demonstration code on Dec. 5 and issued a fix the problem on Dec. 19. More at MacSlash.
