MySpacing your business

So the beta version of MySpace Local, a directory of local businesses, may be helpful for entrepreneurs who want to tap into the wealth of social networking opportunities online. It utilizes the CitySearch database of businesses, with three categories right now: restaurants, bars, and nightlife.

It looks to be a pretty straightforward, and dare I say, fun way to engage more of your customers. And really, once you’ve gotten started on one social networking site, it’s not too difficult to make the leap to others. A MySpace Local business page looks a lot like a MySpace personal page, which is starting to look a bit more like FaceBook, which is starting to look a bit more like Twitter … etc. etc. etc. So get out and play.
