John Roeder, director of admissions at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management, is taking questions today. Enter chat room now.
The Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management accepted fewer than half the applicants who applied to its program in 2007. If you'd like to earn a spot at the top-tier business school, you won't want to miss the live chat event on Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. EST. John Roeder, director of admissions at Owen, will be taking your questions on everything from the required interviews to recommendations.
Before earning his MBA at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and joining Vanderbilt admissions in May, 2003, Roeder served as a change management consultant for Andersen Business Consulting. His consulting work placed him on engagements in Sweden, France, Germany, China, Japan, the Philippines, Australia, South Africa, and throughout the U.S. Roeder, who has been the director of admissions at Owen since 2006, previously served as the assistant director of undergraduate admissions at SMU in Dallas, where he helped lead the university to its highest enrollment in 22 years. He also spent 10 years working for the Dallas Cowboys' media relations department, where he performed postgame interviews, prepared game notes, and assisted broadcast personalities on Sundays throughout the fall.
Your host for this event will be Francesca Di Meglio (FrancescaBW), BusinessWeek.com's business schools community manager and reporter.
Hope to see you there!
If you can't attend a live event, you can send Francesca Di Meglio questions for the guest in advance, and she'll try to pose as many as she can. Please use the subject line "Owen Chat." Or you may simply read the transcript that we post afterward.
