2007 is only about three-quarters over, but Inman News has already seen fit to recognize the 25 most influential real estate blogs of the year—and Hot Property made the cut! Being part of the well-respected BusinessWeek franchise gives us a big leg up. But we’re flattered nonetheless. I guess this means we can cruise for the rest of the year.
Hot Property is one of just two journalist blogs on the list, the other being John Cook’s Venture Blog by Seattle Post-Intelligencer venture capital reporter John Cook. Impressive that Cook made the list considering that his blog isn’t even mainly about real estate, although he has insightfully covered real estate websites like Zillow.com and Redfin.com.
By the way, Zillow and Redfin have their own blogs that made Inman’s list. And Inman News has its own entry, the Future of Real-Estate Marketing. But my own favorite on the list—Hot Property aside, of course—is Calculated Risk by the pseudonymous and acerbic duo of “CR” and “Tanta.” Who are those masked bloggers?
