Calling all Apple TV owners

Peter Burrows

Okay, it's been long enough for all of you Apple TV owners to get used to the machine. How do you like it? How well does it do what it is supposed to do? Are you content with its current capabilities, or would you like to see new ones? How much is your Apple TV changing the way you use your TV? Is Apple going to be able to redefine the future of TV with this product--or if not, what does it need to do to finally crack the code on the long-awaited "digital living room" in a big way?

Complaints about Hard Drive capacity is a non-starter if you are running Airport-N. I really don't want to manage a second iTunes library, which is essentially what you will be doing with a large drive. Streaming from my main library [located on my Air Disk] works very well and the 40 GB drive is plenty to handle a queue of content + some favorites and my current hot list of music. Solve the photo streaming conundrum and you have a near perfect first version.

I have one and like it a lot. I use it for watching video podcasts.

The best function would be if Apple had video rentals. That would put it over the top. You can now do that with a Tivo. I think they need to make that a key feature. That is what is MISSING!
