Wing Island

With more imaginative level design, better-planned missions and more multiplayer options, Konami's Wii game Wing Island could've been the current-gen equivalent of Nintendo's classic PilotWings. Instead, the game falls apart under the weight of several poor choices. The Wii Remote's control scheme does okay work, although the lack of configuration options damages the appeal. Even worse, the haphazard missions irritate, particularly the lame formation stages. Thus, great potential gets steamrolled by sloppy execution. Avoid.
