Walgreen Has Higher March Sales


Fremont General's auditor resigns; plus more stocks in the news Tuesday

Walgreen (WAG) posts 8% higher March same-store sales and 13% higher total sales.

Fremont General (FMT) says Grant Thornton LLP is resigning as its auditor.

Accredited Home Lenders (LEND) says it closed a previously proposed financing transaction with Farallon Cap Management and related entities; as a result, Farallon received warrants to buy 3.23 million Accredit Home Lenders shares at an excercise price of $10 per share.

Continental Airlines (CAL) said consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) rose to between 4.5% and 5.5% in March compared to the same month of 2006.

Lawson Software (LWSN) expects to exceed prior third quarter non-GAAP EPS estimates before restructing charges, of $0.02 to $0.03. Posts preliminary third quarter revenues of $190 million to $192 million.

Napster (NAPS) sees fourth quarter results better than guidance and expects to report more than $28 million in revenue and over 830,000 paid subscribers.
