Jessi Hempel has been soaking up enlightenment at the TED conference. Check out her take on it. And don't miss the slideshow. Awesome.

Jessi's favorite moment:

"Ted runs these three-minute quick talks by audience members in between talks. Right now, a guy is showing us a slide show of his family vacation...to North Korea! Photos include a map from the airport with time zones for marked for Pyongyang and Havana; a snapshot of two smiling blonde-haired kids, Griffin, about 8, and Sofie, about 10, in front of a mosaic of a woman with a semi-automatic weapon; a traffic guard in uniform standing in the middle of a vacant traffice intersection. "No car ever came through," he said. He also said his tour guide, a young woman who asked to be called Honey, fondly called him and his family "My American Imperialists."

This is one of my most favorite TED moments, both for how smartly it makes a point about globalization and for the inside look into North Korea."
