Work At Google? Use A Mac? Call Me.
Arik Hesseldahl
Here's a question for Google employees: I've heard that depending on your job function, that when you join Google as an employee, you get to choose your computer, a Mac, or a Windows-based PC. I'm looking for Mac-related anecdotes from inside the Googleplex. What's it like being a Mac user at Google? Do you see a lot of Macs at the office or just a few?

Man, they GET a computer ... I work on the website for a college and it took me awhile to even get a computer that worked properly.

Working at Google AND using a Mac; that's like winning a lifetime supply of yummy chocolate and then being paid overtime to eat it....

That would be awesome. I want to get a Mac because they can only run a few software programs. Then I want to get a cool looking VW made in Mexico that will leave me stranded on the freeway shoulder. If it looks cool, it doesn't matter what it can do.
