Based in Chicago, Michael Abramson has contributed photography to BusinessWeek since 1984. His work has also appeared in numerous national and foreign magazines, and been exhibited at museums and galleries including The Art Institute of Chicago, The Milwaukee Art Museum, and The Philadelphia Museum of Art. His subjects have included former presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush, Oprah Winfrey, and Michael Jordan, as well as workers in a recycling plant and wild mustangs in South Dakota. He also provided photographs for two books about the Thorne Rooms at The Art Institute of Chicago. Abramson has taught photography at Columbia College Chicago and Illinois Institute of Technology's Institute of Design. He received a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an MS in Photography from the Institute of Design.
