Everyone and their mother has a kart racing game on store shelves these days, and it was only a matter of time before Namco gave their mascot a racing game of his own. And while Pac-Man World Rally doesn't really provide anything new to the scene, it is moderately enjoyable, mainly because the character selection is so diverse. When's the last time you saw Pooka from Dig-Dug show the Prince of All Cosmos who's boss? Some of the track designs and ideas are a little inspired as well, like racing inside a big Pac-Man cocktail arcade machine. Pac-Man World Rally doesn't nearly have the speed to keep up with Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, but at least it's not racing on all flats. Give it a rental.
