Seeing as how the PS2 had the benefit of the Ace Combat series to satisfy aerial enthusiasts, Ubisoft and Taito must've felt that Xbox 360 owners deserved a turn of their own, and thus delivered Over G Fighters, originally known as World Airforce. Unfortunately, the game has a few problems that force it come within a distant second of Namco's legacy, such as controls that seem to be plodding, presentation ideas that end up being a distraction, and missions that are way too short and frustrating for their own good. The only redeeming factors seem to be the large selection of aircraft and the likable multiplayer. Over G Fighters manages to get into the sky, but fails to put on a memorable show.
