Weekend Glitch

Heather Green

Apologies for not being able to post the comments this weekend. We moved cable this weekend and I had problems getting online. However, it gave me a chance to notice blog spam seems to be picking up again. Has something changed with MT that I hadn't noticed, allowing it to increase?

I thought you just took the weekend off to go fishing or something. It's always better to say it is broke at the time it is broken, instead of apologizing after the fact. A warning heeded is a disaster avoided. Glad to see you got it fixed. As for the blog spam, it's one of those things. It could be a number of different things causing it. The blog spam never goes 'down' for some reason it just keeps going up. Some things are more dependable than others. The stuff you don't need is always there and the stuff you do use because you need it breaks at the worst possible time. If more people ignored it, the spam might all go crashing down. As more ways to manipulate data are invented more people get manipulated in the process, so it seems. You have 101 lists out there and 1,000,000 people making more lists of the lists or links to the lists of the links. Then all the links become like worms for feeding or baiting the spam. All you catch with these worms is more spam and no fish. It's like night of the living spam. I can't keep up with it. It's like going from the blog to the blob. With night crawler you can catch trout. Go fishing! Don't tell anybody where your favorite fishing hole is unless you want everybody to show up. You can make bait out of Spam.
