Brightcove Opens Up

Heather Green

Brightcove is opening up to all comers this week. The startup offers a publishing, distribution and advertising platform for big and small producers to produce their own online video channels.

Today, during the speech at the National Association of Broadcasters conference, founder Jeremy Allaire announced that after six months, the service is transitioning from an invitation-only commercial preview and opening up for free and general use.

On Wednesday, the company will provide a wide range of deep overviews of Brightcove publically--the first time they have really opened up the doors to disclose what we're doing, Allaire says.
