Questions for the NYTimes head of podcasting?

Heather Green

On Monday I'm interviewing the Jon Landman, the fellow in charge of podcasts at the New York Times for my podcast. They have something like 15 podcasts now, which is suprising to me.

Any questions you're dying to ask him? Any complaints or suggestions I should bring up?

Heather,

I would be interested in learning how they determined what content to podcast, the business strategy involved, how they are hoping to monetize, resource commitments, costs to produce, what makes them think people will subscribe and listen, video podcasts coming? etc.

It is interesting to see a major media outlet embrace this new media technology in such a grand way; give them a kudos from me!

I am traveling to NYC to speak to a group of Fortune 500 compaines next week about Podcasting and Business Blogging for 2 days. I guess it is time to break out the winter clothes since southern califonia is about 70 today.

Heather,

Am I too late for a question? Here it is anyway:

It's easy in a visual channel (lavish TV studio or superbly designed out website) to differentiate and communicate stature. How do (apart from sound quality) does the NYT do that in a podcast?
