Podcasting and Adam Curry

Heather Green

I hate to think that Dave Winer is reading more into two items about podcasting than I wrote. Curry was a key leader in podcasting. The issue seems to be whether he is THE or A leader. I will leave it to others to decide. The point I made was that the iPodder software he released last year tapped into some amazing resevoirs of creativity and that podcasting took off.

Winer also says I should have written about changes Curry made to the Wikipedia entry about podcasting to make it sound as though he contributed more than he did. Curry made a mistake and I have posted about it on this blog. I agree that definitely makes sense to include in a more indepth piece.

Good luck keeping up with it.

Your right and his initial ipodder script was instrumental in pushing things along. What can't be underestimated either is that he promoted the hell out of podcasting on his show and with interviews of the media. Now their are valid arguments out there that Adam is all about Adam and the only reason he was doing it was for his own benefit.
