RSS That Ad

Heather Green

Steve Rubel writes that Target is offering RSS feeds of its weekly sales. These seems like such a smart use of RSS to me, one that will help get it to the masses. Do you know of any other companies using RSS to alert people to sales?

I am helping the UK-based Cheapflights website run both news and the latest savings and deals from discount airlines in the UK and US.

RSS is very good for this as many savings and deals only run for a few days so people can get in as soon as we announce it through the site.

Earlier this year, American Express launched a beta test of a series of six RSS feeds of special offers from a range of their products - Gold Card Events, ShopAmex, Blue Play Auctions, and Travel.
