Kellogg: Admissions Advice

BusinessWeek's No. 1 pick for full-time MBA programs in 2004, Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, remains selective when compared to competitors. Only 23% of 4,299 applicants received offers of admission last year.

Interested in making the cut at Kellogg? Then you don't want to miss this event. In a live chat on Friday, Dec. 9 from noon to 1 p.m. (EST), we're heading straight to the source: Beth Flye, assistant dean and director of admissions and financial aid at Kellogg. She'll take your questions and offer advice on everything from interviews to student life.

At the Kellogg school since January, 2003, Flye previously held the post of senior associate director of admissions at the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business. She also served in various capacities with the admissions department at the Kenan-Flager Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Flye began her career as assistant director of admissions at Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C., where she also earned her MBA.

Your co-hosts for this live chat will be Jack Dierdorff (BWJACK), consulting editor of BusinessWeek Online and former managing editor of the magazine, and Francesca Di Meglio (FrancescaBW), BW Online's B-Schools channel editor.

Hope to see you there!

If you can't attend a live event, you can send Francesca Di Meglio questions for the guest in advance, and she'll try to pose as many as she can. Please use the subject line "Kellogg Chat." Or, you can simply read the transcript that we post afterward.
