Gadgets Dominate Online Holiday Shopping

Rob Hof

When it comes to holiday shopping online, it looks like electronics rules this year. No wonder, I suppose, with the iPod Nano and the Xbox 360 in the lineup. Still, the top searches at eBay's Shopping.com comparison site, for one, were utterly dominated by gadgets:

* Apple iPod Nano

* Microsoft Xbox 360

* Canon PowerShot A510

* Leapfrog Leapster Learning System

* Marlo Glazed Leather Hobo Bag

* Garmin GPSMAP GPS Receiver, Dyson DCO7 Bagless Upright Vacuum

* Humax T800 TiVo Video Recorder (80-hour)

* Casio Triple Sensor Pathfinder

* Panasonic 42 inch HDTV Plasma TV

* Women?? UGG boots

* Men?? Wrestling Shoes

* Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer

* Youniverse Teller Machine

Just one question: Men's wrestling shoes: What's up with that?

Interesting to me that the nano is number one, and the iPod video is nowhere in sight. Also, I hadn't considered buying a Marlo Glazed Leather Hobo Bag, but now that I see that it ranks higher than a plasma TV or the 80-hour TiVo, I'll have to give it a look.

Those Dysons rock! Bright colored and specially designed attachments for pets, I have heard people say a lot of good things about them.

There's a cool demo at www.powervacs.com

I dont know if any Garmin GPSMAP GPS Receiver is good. I like the Garmin NUVI but the older models are just bulky. I looked up all the Garmins here in tthis website and I only like the Nuvi. http://www.gpsexplorer.com/category-1b.aspx?
