MARKETSCOPE : Energy prices were mixed early Wednesday as investors waited for this week's Department of Energy report about inventories.
January West Texas Intermediate crude oil was off 33 cents to $58.51 on Access. Experts bet that the DOE report would show crude inventories rose or fell 1 million barrels.
December heating oil futures were off 1.02 cents to 173.59 cents, amid expectations of news that supply stocks fell 500,000 to 1.5 million barrels.
December gasoline futures were off 0.75 cent to 148.00 cents. Experts saw supplies rising 500,000 to 1.5 million barrels.
December natural gas futures were up 6 cents to $11.67 level. December Brent crude oil futures were off 22 cents to $56.19 in London.
