Treasury Prices Mixed After FOMC Minutes News

MARKETSCOPE : Treasury bond prices were mixed on Tuesday, after news that Federal Reserve members recently discussed changing the language of their monetary policy statement.

The 10-year Treasury note was up 07/32 to price at 100-17/32% of face value for yield of 4.437%.

The Nov. 1 Federal Open Market Committee minutes also showed Fed members expressing concern about inflation as the economy shows considerable strength. And the minutes noted a likely slowdown in the housing sector, among other things.

In preparation for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, the Treasury market closes early on both Wednesday and Friday.
