BMW's Agency Search Down To Two Finalists
BMW of North America announced today that it has narrowed its selection to two finalists as it continues its search for a new US lead brand agency. The agencies are: GSD&M, Austin, TX; and kirshenbaum bond + partners, New York, NY. The search for the lead brand agency is spearheaded by Select Resources International, which has worked with BMW since 1997.
Eliminated were The Martin Agency of Richmond and Anomaly, NY.
Narrowing to two agencies for an additional round of presentations was a surprise. The company, whose ad account is highly prized in auto circles, was expected to make a decision on Monday.
BMW parted ways with Fallon McElligott, Minneapolis, which resigned the account after the automaker said it was reviewing its account, last summer.
