Google and Using Blogs for Clarification?

Heather Green

Steve Rubel optimistically writes that Google wisely jumped in, using its blog to clarify the rumours about Google Base, which people speculate is a Craig's List (and newspaper classified) killer.

Maybe. But what I read at Google's blog is just as clear as mud.

The problem with that particular clod of GoogleMud is that it's too small, not that it's particularly dense.

BTW, googlemud.com is available...

Mud sometimes has that thin layer of water on top, which has a nice screed pool you can tell the future in. Cement might have been a better term. ;)

An interesting point in all of this is that the Phoenix Business Journal noted that Google was opening in Phoenix for Google Auctions (here's the post in my blog - http://pop-pr.blogspot.com/2005/10/google-base-from-october-11.html) ... could Base be Auctions?

Jeremy,

Beautifully put. I couldn't stop laughing after I read that. (Of course, it's late, so I am a little punchy!)
