Tagging Books
Heather Green
In my continuing fascination with tagging, I ran across a service called LibraryThing at David Weinberger's Joho the blog. It lets you create an online catalog of your books and share that list with others if you like.
In 1988, I started a list to keep track of every book I read. The list migrates from the back of journals to odd pages in notebooks, as space runs out. And only a few people ever get to seen the list. I doubt I would stop keeping it on paper, but I plan to try this out.

this will certainly make it easier if a ken-starr-type tries to lewinsky you. they won't even have to call barnes and noble. i myself will only be including intelligent literature that i might have read, leaving off my brad and jennifer expose collection.
