What Will Papers Look Like?
Interesting BBC story on the future format of newspapers. (Via CNET)

These sorts of issues have been around for a long time. Folks just like marks on paper. They have for thousands of years, they do today, and they will for a lot of years to come. Folks seem to make a different choice when there's a compelling reason to do so, but otherwise default to what's comfortable and what has worked so well as to be transparent and pretty much ubiquitous. That's not to say that alternate forms won't find lasting audiences. People have all sorts of needs, too.

Yes, you are absolutely right. What I think is fascinating are the different iterations of how paper evolves and the thinking behind it. I always loved the story about the book, the codex and how it developed.
