Treasury futures closed modestly higher in quiet trading, and attracted some early retail buying. The range drifted most of the day, and didn't react to the stronger-than-expected 8.9% rise in new-home sales.
There's no major economic reports or speakers scheduled for tomorrow. The markets are awaiting the preliminary first-quarter GDP report Wednesday. MarketScope sees growth of 5.0% or better. The 10-year note yield eased to 4.43%. 10-year futures rose 04/32 to 110-26/32, and 30-year futures rose 11/32 to 110-25/32.
