GORE'S GRACELESSNESS. The pressure on Lieberman has been of a couple of varieties. He has watched his brand of Clinton-era centrism get stomped by Dean's nouvelle liberalism. And he has endured the indignity of seeing former running mate Al Gore embrace Dean without so much as a courtesy call in advance. Lieberman's response has been classy all the way.
