St. Paul Agrees to Acquire Travelers Property Casualty


St. Paul Companies (SPC) agrees to acquire Travelers Property Casualty (TAPA) in a stock swap valued at roughly $16 billion. Terms: 0.4334 St. Paul share per Travelers share. (11/17)

Auto-parts supplier ArvinMeritor (ARM) raises its hostile bid for rival Dana Corp. (DCN) to $18 a share, or about $2.68 billion, from $15 a share. The company said it would terminate the latest offer on Dec. 2 unless Dana's board of directors agree to begin negotiating a merger agreement, according to news reports. (11/17)
