TRW Sells Aeronautical Systems Unit to Goodrich

TRW (TRW) agreed to sell its aeronautical systems business to Goodrich (GR) for $1.5 billion in cash. In March, TRW announced it would split apart after Northrop Grumman (NOC) launched a hostile bid for the company. On Friday, Northrop extended its $6.68 billion ($53 per share) offer for TRW until June 21. (6/19)

Cendant (CD) is in talks to acquire Budget Group (BDPGA) through a pre-planned bankruptcy-court proceeding in a deal that would create the nation's No. 2 car-rental company, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. (6/19)

UnitedHealth Group (UNH) agreed to acquire AmeriChoice, a health care benefits and services provider for state Medicaid beneficiaries, for a total of about $560 million in stock and debt assumption. (6/18)
