DSL, NEW AND IMPROVED

This fall, telcos plan to roll out a new type of digital subscriber line called single-pair high-bit-rate DSL (SHDSL). It moves data up to 53% faster than today's leading DSL usually does, and works almost four miles from a central switching station--a mile farther than current DSL services reach.
