Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown is concerned about Tivo Inc.'s (TIVO

) earnings preannouncement.

Analyst Peter Ausnit says Tivo has a history of preannouncing better-than-expected numbers or, numbers in line with guidance that don't always come through when they acutally post earnings. He says it looks like Tivo had a decent quarter but based on the company's above-mentioned proclivity, Ausnit says he remains skeptical until he gets details later Tuesday on a conference call. As of now, he rates Tivo market perform.
