1952

Founded in Rio de Janeiro by U.S. tennis star Bob Falkenburg. Bob's burgers and hot dogs become a hit with Brazilian glitterati.

1974

Falkenburg returns to U.S. and sells out to Libby do Brasil, subsequently taken over by Nestle.

1975

Bob's launches the Big Bob, four years before the Big Mac lands on Brazilian shores.

1987

Nestle sells Bob's to Dutch group Vendex.

1996

Brazil Fast Food buys Bob's with $20 million raised on Nasdaq.

2001

From 78 restaurants in 1996, Bob's starts the year with 225.
