Analyst William Schmitt says he's raising his $0.35 Q2 EPS estimate to $0.39, and raising the $1.43 2001 estimate to $1.55 and the $1.55 2002 estimate to $1.64 based on strong results
from the company's Missouri riverboats, most notably St. Charles. Also, Schmitt raised the $147.3 million 2001 EBITDA estimate to $151.2 million and raised the $162.5 million 2002 EBITDA estimate to $165.8 million. Schmitt also raised the $11
price target to $14.
He sees potential for meaningful upsides at the company's
St. Charles and Kansas City riverboats; and also sees improvements given Ameristar Casino's recent property enhancements in Vicksburg and Council Bluffs. Given the company's limited public float, he recommends investment in Ameristar Casino for speculative accounts able to assume risk.
