Analyst Eric Rothdeutsch says the company has seen its turns business improve in May, with cancellations and pushouts having slowed considerably. He maintains his $0.75 fiscal 2002 (March) EPS estimate and the $1.02 estimate for fiscal 2003. He notes the company stated international revenues may exceed North American revenues. This strengthens the belief that Xilinx continues to gain market share from Altera.
Although Rothdeutsch doesn't think the industry is out of the woods yet, he's encouraged by the incremental improvement in the business and remains confident of the strong adoption rates that Xilinx has seen in its new products.
