) reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.18 in line with revised guidance. USB Piper Jaffray maintained a buy rating on shares of the personal computer maker.
Analyst Ashok Kumar noted due to economic uncertainty, Dell shied away from full year guidance. But due to zero visibility, the analyst cut his fiscal 2002 (January) EPS estimate to $0.75 from $0.90, and his revenue estimate to $34.8 billion from $36.9 billion.
Kumar, however, says he remains positive in the long term as growth in the enterprise segment should offset the maturing desktop market. He also expects Dell to continue to gain share in the notebook and server segments.
