COMMENTARY
The Nasdaq Composite Index continued to be the market's star, rising to an
all-time high on Feb. 17. But blue chips maintained their desultory
performance. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 295 points on Feb. 18, hit
by interest rate worries. Financial stocks led the decline. The Nasdaq--but
not the Dow--rallied on Feb. 23.
