The production index was flat in the week ended Feb. 27. The unaveraged indexjumped 0.9%, to 143.0, from 141.7. For the month of February, the index fellto 142.0, from January's reading of 142.3. After seasonal adjustment, electricpower was up 4.7%, with the greatest increases of available energy in theMid-Atlantic and New England regions. Steel, autos, oil, and rail freight alsoreported increases.
