"Hard Driving Boss" (People, Oct. 5)

Corrections & Clarifications

"Hard-driving boss" (People, Oct. 5)

In "Hard-driving boss" (People, Oct. 5), on Volkswagen CEO Ferdinand Piech, we reported: "Industry execs whisper that he [Piech] is expecting his 14th child--and not with his wife." In an attempt to confirm this information, which was volunteered by industry sources, we had contacted Dr. Piech and Volkswagen but unfortunately did not hear back from them before the magazine went to press. According to new information we have since obtained from Dr. Piech, he is in fact not expecting a 14th child. BUSINESS WEEK apologizes to Dr. Piech and his wife, Ursula.Return to top
