BUSINESS WEEK INDEXThe production index continued to climb in the week ended Sept. 12, while theunaveraged index dipped 0.1% to 137.5, from 137.6. After seasonal adjustment, electric power was down 3.3%, with the largest decreases of available energyin the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast areas. Rail-freight traffic, steel, coal, and lumber output also fell, but that was mainly because of the Labor Dayholiday.
