Washington Outlook: CAPITAL WRAPUP
A GOP SENATE SWEEP?
Republicans have set their sights on a record-setting election in the Senate this year. GOP strategists say the party should capture at least two and as many as six seats from vulnerable Democrats. If Republicans can pad their current 55-45 majority by just one, they will boast the largest number of senators since Herbert Hoover's 1928 landslide. The GOP's dream: reach a filibuster-proof 60. The party hasn't had that since Teddy Roosevelt was President.EDITED BY OWEN ULLMANN
