ECKHARD PFEIFFER

There's just no stopping Compaq Computer CEO ECKHARD PFEIFFER. Even as he pushed further into the large computer business in '97 with acquisitions of Tandem Computers and Microcom, Pfeiffer, 55, kept his eye on the PC business. With '97 revenue up an estimated 24%, to $25 billion, Pfeiffer is on his way toward $50 billion in sales by 2000.
