A few choice ways to sidestep the tax man (Personal Business, Dec. 2)

In "A few choice ways to sidestep the tax man" (Personal Business, Dec. 2), a reference to a tax law change omitted some pertinent details. Starting in 1997, workers over 70 will no longer be penalized for failing to withdraw money from a retirement plan (other than an IRA). The change does not apply to retirees or anyone who owns 5% or more of a business.Return to top
