Chrysler's U.S. car and light-truck sales soared 33% in April.Consumer confidence numbers sailed to their highest level in almost six years.The pickup in activity sparked inflation fears and sent the yield on the30-year Treasury to 6.91%, up from 6.82% a week ago.
